There are 13 in form 3, a good balance of boys and girls, which should work beautifully for Much Ado. 

There are six boys in form 2, and mine have no intention of playing girl roles. Any thoughts? I’m wondering whether to do Macbeth with Form 2.

We are focusing mostly on practical considerations. For example:

  • Do not leave the building unattended
  • Do not wander the Church (all of our classrooms are on the second floor, but there are bathrooms on the first floor we may need to use occasionally with adult supervision)
  • Do not touch/handle Church property, particularly electronics

That sort of thing, but worded in a more positive friendly way than I have here. We want to be a pleasure and continue to be welcomed by our hosts who are graciously opening the building to us for only the cost of utilities.

I don't think any name stood out as ideal. It was brought up, is the name for us to encapsulate the vibe we want our group to have, or for others to identify us as the Charlotte Mason option in our local area. I don't think we settled that question. Another consideration is the website URL, which ideally is short and memorable.

I do not have my notes with me, so off the top of my head ideas that were offered:

  • Charlotte Mason Fellowship of the Blue Ridge Co-op
  • Friday Fellowship
  • Parents Union Co-op
  • Charlotte Mason Co-op
  • However Imperfectly ( 😉 )
  • Something connoting Big Room

We will be using the Folgers edition of Much Ado About Nothing. A PDF version can be downloaded for printing at this link. Or purchase through Amazon for about $5 a copy. Each child in Form 2 or 3+ requires their own copy.

Nature Study will require a blank journal for Nature Journaling and colored pencils. Advanced students may use water colors, if preferred.

Handicrafts supplies will be provided and a fee for supplies included in each families fees.

Please have supplies with you for opening classes on September 12!
