We discussed potential name ideas at the last meeting. I don't think any name stood out as ideal. It was brought up, is the name for us to encapsulate the vibe we want our group to have, or for others to identify us as the Charlotte Mason option in our local area. I don't think we settled that question. Another consideration is the website URL, which ideally is short and memorable.
I do not have my notes with me, so off the top of my head ideas that were offered:
- Charlotte Mason Fellowship of the Blue Ridge Co-op
- Friday Fellowship
- Parents Union Co-op
- Charlotte Mason Co-op
- However Imperfectly ( 😉 )
- Something connoting Big Room
- ETA (from my notes): Feast & Fellowship
Please add more ideas below!
I mentioned the question to Megan Triplett in conversation and she suggested plugging the terms into Chat GPT. I haven’t tried it, but it might be interesting!
That could be a good way to brainstorm.
Another idea I had mentioned was something to do with a “large room” from one of Mason’s quotes - similar idea to the wide feast.
I had also done a AI search for ideas and it mostly fell flat for me, but maybe ChatGPT would come up with something better! o
Also on another search using the idea of her “science of relations” quote google came up with Living Connections Co-op, which I thought was pretty great!
Here are some others I found via Chat GPT. It's kinda fun! 🙂

The Generous Table – evokes both the feast and the largeness of the room, with space for all and grace in imperfection.
- The Generous Room
→ A nod to the “large room” and God’s grace in giving abundantly - Streams in the Wasteland
→ Inspired by Isaiah 43:19. Beauty, truth, and learning even in dry places. - The Gentle Yoke Collective
→ “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:30) — a restful, Christ-centered approach to learning. - However Imperfectly
→ Bold and beautiful just as it is. Humble, honest, and full of grace. - By Grace & By Habit
→ Merges Mason’s emphasis on habit formation with the spiritual reality of grace leading it all. - The Liturgy of Learning
→ Reflects the sacred rhythm of life and education, honoring the holy in the ordinary. - A Spacious Grace
→ Inspired by Psalm 18 and the “large room” metaphor, framed with the unearned kindness of God.
Here's the survey for narrowing down names. I borrowed some, played around with it, and generally had fun, so thank you for indulging me. 🙂 DON'T OVERTHINK IT! Just choose what you like and we'll go from there. https://forms.gle/EXkAfEstAHtWPcwH9
