Yesterday I went through the registered form 2 and 3 students and made a card for each. There are 13 in form 3, a good balance of boys and girls, which should work beautifully for Much Ado.

There are six boys in form 2, and mine have no intention of playing girl roles. Any thoughts? I’m wondering whether to do Macbeth with Form 2.

I haven't looked through the forms yet. 6 boys and no girls? Am I remembering there are three main female roles?

Macbeth could be a solution, but there is still Lady Macbeth and the witches (do they count as females, since they are witches? oh and the goddess).

Maybe they need to just trade the girl voices among those who are willing each week, so no one is always a girl... They can be a boy and have a turn at reading a girl part.

Whatever you decide is fine with me, I think my son would hesitate to play a girls role as well, but if he wasn’t the only one he may be willing. If there are enough boys parts for all of them maybe an available Mom to two could help read ladies parts?

Yes, Bekah, I see six boys and no girls in form 2. I think they'll enjoy Macbeth!

I'm happy to play Lady Macbeth. The witches are honestly fun, and I'll probably skip at least one of the scenes with Hecate because they aren't really essential. I already have the SCM book and can provide printed scripts, so no one has to buy a book unless they prefer to do so. Or I can email the PDF to families and you can print your own.
